Accommodation and Supported Independent Living
Fully Supported Shared Accommodation and Independent Living Options
Choosing the right kind of living arrangement is crucial for taking a significant step in building a life of confidence, connection, independence and shared experiences. We at Better Ability Care are offering shared and ILO (independent living options) accommodations designed to provide our participants with safe, comfortable and fully accessible homes where they can live life on their own terms and thrive!
We believe in putting your needs above the rest, whether you need an ILO arrangement or a vibrant shared home with like-minded peers—complete with support staff, accessible features and flexible living options.
Short-Term Accommodation for a Safe and Welcoming Living Environment
As part of our shared accommodation, you can also expect us to address your respite needs with precision and care. We offer safe, inclusive, and welcoming short-term accommodation, or STA, to ensure you experience a refreshing change in scenario and get a chance to try new activities in a setting full of advanced support.

STA offers a short-term solution that’s thoughtfully designed to provide you with immediate support, stability, and a break from daily routine. With this type of accommodation, you get a fully structured, ready-to-access place to stay with professional and experienced support staff available around you 24/7.

Our STA program offers:

  • Respite for both participants and families
  • Access to trained and dedicated support staff around the clock
  • Comfortable short stays in fully supported homes
  • Opportunities to develop social connections and friendships
  • Flexible options for both planned and emergency stays
Medium-Term Accommodation – A Reliable Step Towards Your Long-Term Home
Are you in need of a safe and supportive place to stay while waiting for your permanent housing to be ready? Our Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA) program provides the perfect temporary living solution during these important transitional periods.

MTA is designed to bridge the gap between your current situation and your long-term housing arrangements. It offers structure, stability, and professional support so you can feel safe, valued, and cared for while preparing for the next stage of your journey.

Unlike Individualised Living Options (ILO), which focus on flexible and personalised living setups, MTA provides a more structured environment for those who need immediate, short-term housing with reliable, round-the-clock assistance.

With Medium-Term Accommodation, you’ll benefit from:

  • Comfortable, accessible, and well-maintained living spaces
  • Temporary housing while awaiting long-term or permanent arrangements
  • Everyday support from dedicated and caring professionals
  • Stability and routine during transitional stages
  • Peace of mind for families knowing their loved ones are well cared for
  • Continuity of care until your permanent housing goals are achieved
Shared Accommodation with Structured Support
Shared accommodation offers participants the opportunity to live in SDA homes with like-minded individuals, sharing the same interests and goals. These specially-accessible homes offer shared common areas, such as:
  • Kitchen
  • Lounge
  • Lobby, and
  • Outdoor spaces
Whether you need assistance with personal activities or are looking to engage in the community, we offer options that foster your sense of community, independence and inclusivity. If you’re a participant with high support needs, we can offer 24/7 support as well. Simply let us know when you reach out, and we’ll try our best to accommodate your needs.
Independent Living Options to Lead Life Your Way
ILO or Independent Living Options is a highly individualised NDIS model offered by Better Ability Care. If you desire to live on your own in a supported home of your choice, we can arrange the support you need to suit that lifestyle choice.
This can include:
  • Choosing when and how you want the support to be delivered
  • Living with a family or family member
  • Arranging a support group of friends, family members or even support workers
  • If you want 24/7 care, that can be arranged as well
Why Choose Us?
Partnering with Better Ability Care, you get:
  • Tailored living arrangements
  • Highly trained and compassionate support workers
  • Collaborative planning approach
  • Comfortable, safe and fully accessible accommodations in vibrant neighbourhoods
